Senior Project Research

Welcome, Seniors!  Are you ready to tackle your Senior Project research paper?  Here are some resources to help you get started:

  • Want books?  Use our catalog to help you find books that relate to your topic!  Any of our library workers would be happy to help you locate materials on the shelves.
  • Since you'll be using a lot of persuasion in your paper, you'll want to check out the Opposing Viewpoints database.  The password is "woodmen."  This will take you to persuasive articles on practically any topic!
  • For general research that will bring you all kinds of newspaper and journal articles, use INSPIRE.  No password required here!  I like clicking on the "Student Research Center" button on the bottom of the page to start my research.
  • If you need any historical information to prove/disprove a point, use one of our historical databases--American History Online or World History Online.  The username for both is "greenwoodchs" and the password is "woodmen."
  • Before you go to Google, try one of these search engines--Sweet Search or Google Scholar.  These are more filtered to help you eliminate the junk and get to the good stuff!
Have questions?  See Mrs. Reynolds or Mrs. Yeater in the IMC to help you get on track!  And good luck as you finish out your last semester!
